The picturesquely beautiful campus of Government College Karsog sprawling over 2.82 Acres nestles in the lap of nature. It is located at the centre of lush green valley of Karsog subdivision of district Mandi, which is the farthest corner of the region.
Geographically:- On one hand this wide valley of Karsog bows to the Shikari Devi peak (Height 11000ft), at the same time it spreads down to Kao by touching the feet of Goddess Kamaksha and further descends down to Parlog, the basin of river Sutlej. The institution endeavors to ensure the quality of academic and administrative standards.
Various committees look into the matters related to the college and function in a well co-ordinated way. The meetings of the committees are held from time-to-time to thrust qualitative improvements. The Students Advisory Committee looks into the day to day problems of the students and tries to solve them at the earliest. Discipline committee helps in maintaining a healthy and peaceful atmosphere in the campus and also fair conduct of examinations. Adequate steps are taken from time to time in order to maintain the classrooms, laboratories and augmentation of the facilities.
The Old Students’ Association (OSA) has been established recently as an Alumni Association. The association has conducted a cultural function and awarded top ten alumni of the college. Four faculty members of the college, one scientist in ARIES, an Asstt. CDPO and a Metallurgist are among top ten alumni of the college. A special award Sw. Vivekanand Award has been introduced to the best student of the year which will be distributed every year.
